- Pineapple Tart
Yes, the fragrant, tasty and buttery pineapple tarts are one of the bombs! But, they average 90 calories a piece and with the jam, hold 5g of fat, 6g of sugar and 58mg of sodium. To burn it off, 15 minutes of walk.
- Bak Kwa
Always everyone’s favorite snack, one slice of Chinese meat jerky contains 370 calories, 6g of fat and 25g of sugar. It might be tasty but the oily snack needs to be managed to avoid a post-CNY nightmare! Just one slice, you have to walk for 60 minutes to burn it off.
- Love Letters (Kuih Kapit)
These crispy, crumbly goodies are made with flour, eggs, coconut milk, and sugar. As sweet as they’re called, by taking a piece gives you 56 calories and almost 5g of sugar. Take 2 pieces and you will have to walk for 20 minutes.
- Yu Sheng
The combination of preserved vegetables, sesame seeds, fish and crackers is definitely tasty, but Yu Sheng is often drizzled in oil as well. Per serving gives you 561kcal, and walk for 2 hours 52 minutes to burn off the calories.
- Mandarin Orange
This could be the healthiest snack you can eat this Chinese New Year, and it’s high in vitamins and fiber, and low in fat. Only 39 calories per orange and you only have to walk for 12 minutes to burn them off.
