Father’s Day is this Sunday!
Don’t feel like eating outside foods due to cooking methods with high fats, high salt, and high sugar, but still want to offer your Dad a great meal?
You can prepare a homemade healthy meal for him without having to sacrifice great taste! Here are some healthy suggestions for you this Father’s Day:
- Whole Grain Rice
If you’re preparing rice meals, consider replacing white rice with whole grain rice. Whole grain rice provides more specific nutrients like fiber, protein, antioxidants, and certain vitamins and minerals. It may also reduce the risk of Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.
Some great examples of whole grains are brown rice, quinoa, and wild rice.
- Fruit Salad / Rojak
Looking for something healthy and refreshing? You can buy your father’s favorite fruits, mix all the fruits and turn them into a platter of fruit salad/rojak. Fruits are high in vitamins and minerals to maintain our overall health and it’s high in water content to keep your dad refreshed and hydrated.
- Stir-Fry Vegetables
